The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) was established by the Government of India in 1983 to promote the exports of natural silk goods. Today around 2,000 export firms are members of ISEPC, selling silk goods to more than 100 countries. The Council is sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
